Why not take in a range of museums in Hobart including the Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts, the State Library hosting a number of rare books, the Lady Franklin Gallery, Moorilla Museum of Antiques, the Maritime Museum of Tasmania giving the history of Hobart's Shipping industry and the Tasmanian Transport Museum. The Tasmanian Museum of Art hosts some wonderful displays of colonial art and relics.
Don't visit Hobart without exploring Mt Wellington if the weather is good, hike to the Pinnacle. If the weather is poor, explore the forested slopes. Offers great views in all directions.
